Ended up with a 47 dime 57 dime 61 dime and 62 dime. Also got a 44 silver war nickel and my first Indian head and oldest coin yet a 1897. Also found some clad and one wheatie

That's a nice hunt any day of the week ..

Kmatch7, what was different today? Did you come from a different angle, slower sweep speed. full moon? I have been avoiding our oldest parks because I feel they have been "hunted to death". Maybe I should rethink this.

Well I hit a area I thought I got. But there was more leafs there than I thought. So I removed them and hit a few dimes there. But I guess a moist soil from rain and me going more slowly helped. The Indian head I got at a spot I know Isn't over numerous times but it wasn't the best signal in the world but after slowly going over it a few more times it became more solid. It had to be about 9 inches deep. I found myself taking my time more. If it was fresh house I tend to get excited and run all over the place.

Also I will probably find more. There a decent section covered in ivy that used to be grass. I got to remove the ivy since my cool can't get as close to the ground as I'd like. But I will be a pain.

That's a great hunt in my book!! nice swinging!
