Hit the beach last night...

I was going to take Vicky out to dinner last night to celebrate the new job and all, but she didn't feel like it. So, I cooked up some dinner for her and went to the beach :) I haven't mentioned it much, but I've had the suspicion that my Exp has not been working right... most of the time, especially at the beach, I get a lot of falsing. The last time I went out was particularly bad. Even when I thought it was "ok", apparently I was missing targets. I went back over an area with the CZ20 that I'd marked off and gridded out with the Exp. Absolutely no targets with the Exp and about 1/2 dozen or so clad with the CZ???? Most of them fairly shallow.

So, I worked on the connectors; cleaned them, used a little super fine sandpaper and tightened up the female connection (so the prongs of the male end would fit tighter). The machine worked great last night. I can't remember the last time I was able to run at these higher sensitivities. I was picking up some very deep clad and ended up finding 2 earrings and a nice 14K cross with a long 10K chain. I'll post a pic at another time.

It was really a beautiful night at the beach! Man it's been hot here this week. Supposed to be better today.

Can't wait to go out Saturday morning.
