Posting yesterday and todays hunt.
Yesterday I had some time to hit the old lot next door. It is very overgrown so I hunt it when I don't feel like driving down the street. I have only hunted it 4 times so far at about an hour each time. this is where I found my first wheat penny.
After hitting a couple trash targets (and digging deep for them - old rain gutter hangers) I pulled out and old rivet. Looks it could be from some sort of belt. 20 minutes later I got a solid dime hit. I dug down and started to remove the plug which had a lot of tiny roots - almost like spider webs. When I lifted the plug a large coin shaped item (size of silver dollar) fell from the plug. I dropped the plug and grabbed the target. I couldn't clean it well enough with my field rag, so I grabbed my digging tools and 250 and went inside to clean it up.
Well it wasn't a large coin but what looks like an old button - Oh Well. Deflated I didn't go back out but had a nice cold beer instead
and watched final holes of the Masters.

This morning I had to do some work early (5am) so I stayed home and worked from the luxury of my recliner. Gotta love telecommuting!!!! On my way to get me some brunch I stopped at a tot lot for a few minutes. Got of the Jeep and grabbed the 250, as soon as I stepped to the gate there were 2 pennies sitting there grabbed them and then started swinging in the mulch. found 2 more pennies right off the bat. A couple minutes later I dug up the cheap costume Ear Ring. It is quite large for a child to be wearing, in my opinion. Went on to find a few more pennies and a bunch of trash. Since the county had the 'Bad Boys' out cleaning up I handed them my trash as I was leaving.

It is a nice day here in Maryland so I may hit the lot next door later.
