Skipped Saturday and went out Sunday to the major league beach here, Jones (where I got my last 2 beauties), - nothing found. The resident vultures were not happy to see a new rookie on their turf. One guy even walked along 10 feet near me (with his detector on) to try and intimidate me out of the water - I just stared at him and laughed him off..
Went out today, alone, to another closer beach where I found my first gold ring last Weds. Tide was all wrong (low at 1pm and I was there at 8am) but I needed to put in my 3 hours of exercise so it didn't matter. After about an hour of my usual grid working in Pinpoint - from the water line to about shin deep, I hit a good signal and switched over to DISC to check it out - Man, it was the most amazing sounding sweet medium tone I've ever heard. My last 2 gold rings did not sound nearly as good....I knew it wasn't a nickle - it had to be gold....in the picture look at the one on the left, it's a men's white 14K with 3 rows of 3 diamonds - she is a real beauty in perfect condition...
10 minutes later I get a weird repetitive tone - so of course I dig...first I thought "second white gold or platinum" men's wedding band (see the one on the right in the picture) wholly s--t!!!!! I can't believe it..., but back at the car I look and see it's stamped titanium DRG (don't know what DRG means)....
Anyway - this makes me 4 gold and 1 titanium for 5 trips out...WOW you gotta love this game.
