Hit Hard for Over 30 Years...

[size=large]Hopefully I can get a video up that is associated with these finds but may not. Anyway this area had a small detachment of Union Soldiers with a couple of run-ins with some Confederate Soldiers. The area has been hunted for over 30 years and occasionally will give up a few finds. I was hunting with a Vista Gold with the 7.7 x 10.5 coil. The targets were either masked or very deep, so much so that I started digging questionable targets that were deep. I have been hunting with the Vistas for about 18 months and am still learning their language. These are
great detectors if you are hunting older homes, old parks, CW battlefields or if you are hunting newer areas and want to dig everything but iron. Richard

You are right about those DeepTech detectors Richard. I am really enjoying the Vista Gold that I recently got from you, probably the best beep & dig machine that I have ever had. I realize that some might want a detector with more discrimination but for me being a coin and jewelry hunter it is perfect. I put it in 2 tone mode disc. out a nail and dig the high tones. Digging a piece of foil @ 6 or more inches puts a smile on my face as I know it will pick up any jewelry item that the coil passes over. I find it to be a well made detector, dials and switches all handy to get to, easy to ground balance, etc. I highly recommend anyone thinking about trying a DeepTech to give Richard a call, the DeepTech's and Richard@Backwiods Detectors are both top notch.

Very cool Richard
