Hit a spot i had hoped to hunt for several years....

One of my buddies here may know the spot from the finds. Lots of pipe stems and a few pewter buttons were also found by my other buddy. It was one of the most rewarding hunts in a long time. I had no projects I should have been working on, was with 2 friends I hadn't seen in a while and found treasures with my eyes and ears. It was nice to rekindle my love of arrow head hunting. That, bottle digging, and Mel Fisher got me into the hobby of detecting. Have a good one.

On the East coast I have found them near brooks and large rivers like thw Mohawk or Hudson. The first ones were found in my garden in CT. My grandfather said therhad been a tribe there and I would probably find some arrow heads in the garden. Sure enough I did. Funny how it works, I gave away one of my better ones I found as a kid to my advisor at college a few weeks ago. She has Native American blood and has a whole library of books on anything relating to the ancient N. American cultures. I figured she'd like it and she did. I heard a saying a while back and have come to believe it:

"You have to give it away to keep it"

Have a good one and hope to be back soon.
