Hit A Patch Of Weeds, And Found An Old Penny Patch With 2 Large Cents :smoke:

Headed out for a hunt this evening, and I lucked out and dug some old pennies in some weedy area. I was quite surprised to find 2 large cents. They aren't in the best of shape, but you can still read the dates. I have them soaking in some oil presently, to see if I can get some of that turquoise copper oxide off without pitting the coins.

The large cents make beautiful coin-rings as shown below. I made these last winter to beat the blues......

WTG John, you have a knack for finding coins and I admire your talent for making rings out of coins and spoons.

Nice cratfmanship in those old copper penny rings.

Pretty awesome looking! Good way to beat the blues; have you tried selling them? I would imagine you wouldn't have much difficulty doing that.
