They would like to see everything I find. OK. So while I was detecting, everything I was finding, I was putting on the old porch steps. Had it all laid out there, including the gold ring. They came by to see how I was doing, and thought the stuff I was finding was "very interesting". The lady was interested in the ring, and thought that her sister or mother may have lost it years ago, because both of their names started with a "P" and it is a small ring. Plus they had both lived in the old house many years ago. So I told her just go ahead and take it, and see if one of them might have lost it (although I know its much older than that). If I'm lucky, she will give the ring back to me and say nope, it wasn't theirs. If not, I still have about 2 acres to detect, and there's no end to the targets in the ground around the house. Most of it will be junk I'm sure, but there's gotta be a few old keepers in there. These people know I'm gonna find some neat stuff and want to "share" the finds. It would look odd if I came up with nothing but junk all the time...
