Hit a brand new (to me) park....part 4.....Gold?

At first I thought it was a gold coin seeing the eagle then I see this figure of a man on the other side.
Wasn’t deep...2” at most.
My research made me realize I found an 1850’s brass merchant token from Syracuse, NY!!
Of course, someone made a lovely necklace out of it. Thanks for looking.

It's amazing how shallow it was.. Just goes to show that it does not have to be deep to be old.
Don't worry about that hole.. just adds character!!
