Hit 2 silvers with the Minelab CTX 3030. :minelab:

Got to do my second Thanksgiving meal in two days yesterday and see some family. I couldn't just sit around all afternoon feeling bloated so I called my cousin and we went out detecting. We hit some 1900's houses in his area that looked promising. He was new to the XP Deus but not detecting. I gave him a crash course and we were off! I was using my trusty Minelab CTX 3030 as the two detectors compliment each other well.

He was first out of the gate with a 1942 nickel. It was a clean one. I hit a nice silver tingle fairly deep not to far away and out popped a silver ring. Nice .925 stamp on the inside. 15-20 mins later and several clad later I got another deep sounding silver signal. I was excited as it had the silver "tingle" to it. At about 6" out came a 1917 silver merq, SCORE!!! We hit several more clad $ but the sun was going down and I had to find the family again and head home.

2 Thanksgiving dinners in two days, a nice silver ring and a merq. Not to mention I got to detect with a cousin that is almost my brother and catch up about old times. Was a GREAT last few days!

And to all those who are wondering... yes the wife claimed the ring as hers! lol

HH!

Good to see you got the time for a bit of detecting. All work and no play makes for an unhappy camper :twodetecting:

I feel your pain Bart, my wife loves silver rings too.

Nice post meal silver Bart, I got out for about an hour and a half yesterday but the temps dropped 10 degrees and it started snowing brrrrrr! I ended up with a few wheats, a 1932 Canadian cent and frozen fingers.

Tell me more about this "triangle" phenomenon? That's the first I've heard of this.

It sounds like a perfect holiday Bart, two festive meals, a hunt with relation and finds with bragging rights.............:clapping:

Nice! Ferrous Coin or Ground Coin?
Ferrous, and Gone Huntings program. It works well for me!

I meant silver tingle. Deep silver with Gone Huntings program seems to tingle with sun ray pro golds on.

Now that's something to give thanks for!!!

Happy thanksgiving

Rocco
