Back in Moses time, Moses made this comment:
Deut. 31:29
"For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do that which is evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands."
If we look at the world today, it is history repeating itself. Just as those who had corrupted themselves and turned aside from God - evil befell those in Moses day. We look at our world today and what do we have 'people corrupting themselves, turning away from God and evil is befalling them too'. It is a sad thing when these who corrupt themselves are not happy corrupting themselves they do whatever they can to lead others away from God and doing what they can to corrupt others - including our children.
Why would anyone want to provoke God to anger?
If people don't learn from history (God's history of the people of this world through His Word), they will continue in their wicked ways.
We of course know the end result:
Matt. 13:40-42
"As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; so shall it be in the end of the world.
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity,
and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth."
God have mercy on their souls. (Now you know why we keep repeating this vicious cycle of evil - which gets worse and worse with each generation that rejects God).
