Hip mounting CZ3d

El

Active member
Does anyone know where I can get a hip mount for the CZ3d? I'm interested in a bag or belt mount set up.

Thanks, El

El you can just slide it off the upper shaft it has belt loops on housing. You could also get a Minelab GT hipmount bag from a dealer.

If the belt mount on it doesn't do it for you a Sov. hipmount bag either cloth or leather or perhaps a military pouch can do the job. I know Fisher made one for the digital CZ's but not the analog CZ's and one company that went out of business used to make a nice hipmount bag for various units. While hipmounting be careful you don't put any strain on the coil connector that attaches to the control box so leave some slack in the coil wire while swinging....

Here's a link to a thread on Findmall. While it may be about a pouch made for a Sovereign detector... I think it is an excellent alternative to an aftermarket pouch for any hip mountable detector control box.

I'm using a military ammo pouch from these guys http://www.condoroutdoor.com/ma2ammopouch.aspx
Cut a hole and burn the edges for the cable and mount on your belt

Fisher makes a chest harness that is nice.

I rigged a chest mount on my H2O backpack shoulder straps. I didn't want to wear a harness and a small backpack

I made a 6" loop out of some spare webbing, threaded it through the detector belt slots, clipped a carabiner through loop on each side and hook the carabiners on each shoulder strap across my chest. Works great and keeps my straps from sliding off my shoulder too! You can take the pack off after releasing a carabiner on one side and your detector stays with your pack. Easy on easy off.
