Hip Mount?

Has anyone ever tried to hip mount their MXT? I see a hip mount kit on the White's site but it is for XLT, DFX but not MXT. I am wondering if it would work for the MXT as well. It seems like a hip mount might be a bit awkward with the meter pod/handle. Thanks in advance!
