Hip mount for the Coinmaster 6000/Di series 3, anyone have pix?

Well, I'm starting to like this series 3 I aquired, but this being my first detector, and me being 50, and recovering from rotator cuff surgery, I'm wanting to make this unit more user friendly, LOL. So, I keep hearing about some upgrades to make it easier to use i.e. hip mount, adding a forearm brace etc. Can someone post some pix of a unit with these changes so I can better understand whats what?
Thanks,
Ken.

Hi Ken, Whites made the 6000 Di Series 3 hand held and 6000 Di series 3 hip mount ( see pic )

I would not attempt the hip mount conversion with your machine, but you could lighten the load

with a swingy thingy ( bungee harness ) I use one with my heavier detectors.

I don't like spending other peoples money but you may also consider fitting carbon fibre rods

they are lighter than the metal ones.

Les, what is the "swingy thingy"? Got a pic of it, or is it in one of those pix? Thanks for the help.
Ken.

Here you go Ken, the harness what the guy in the picture is wearing is the Swingy Thingy

They do lighten the load.

Thanks Les.

Hey Ken, I just ordered one of these from cop704 on eBay just yesterday. $31.95 +$7.00 s/h. I spent time yesterday reading about it and it seems to get great reviews.

Big snow storm headed here in Okie land in a few hours, so no rush for it to get here!

Good luck!
Dave

The Swingy does work great. Just give some time to adjust the strapping 'perfectly' to your frame size. Once that is done, you can make minor coil height adjustments via the clamp that attaches to the shaft on detector. Also, I used electrical tape to bind the loose strapping after it was sized for my frame. Once set up properly, this can be put on in the field in less than 30 secs. Takes all the weight off and coil just floats over the ground. Use it on my White's Silver Eagle, which weighs as much as the 6000 series. Only downside is the unit hangs on your side, but a small inconvienence compared to dealing with sore back/arm/shoulder. Well worth the money.
BTW....I set mine up so the bungee rests directly under the control head of detector. I found it works best that way. Not like the picture where the bungee is off the control head.

Thanks for the ideas guys.
