hillside finds

ringer

New member
Today went back to hillside hunting, Trying to find one of those mercury dimes.Wound-up finding .925 size #7 ladies ring.
It is a beaut. Three stones= two triangle shaped diamonds and amethyst (purple) stone in center.
It cleaned up nicely.Sorry no pic's
Oh I almost forgot two club members were there with me John and Luke.
Luke found an ancient coin and John found a lieutenants badge.
Collectively i'd say we all did alright
Dennis.

Congratulations Dennis, you guys had a good day hunting. That ring sounds like it is a pretty one, but FYI, diamonds are very seldom, if ever, mounted in silver, the prongs are just too soft, they are most likely CZ's.

You are probably right. I didn't have an expert look at the ring.Forgot about cubic zirconium.
Dennis

Great find, can't wait to see it. Wouldn't it be great if the stones were diamonds with amethyst ?! But realistically they're probably not since they're in silver. A ring is a ring though. Cool. HH, Nancy

You guy's still amaze me with all of your finds. Congrats on your scores.
