I found a 1926D wheat Penny yesterday and saw that it was worth $1.75 in poor condition. $25.00 in uncirculated condition. I have never sold anything I found so have any of you got really lucky?

In my 41 years of detecting have found several nice one, those that come to mind are 1894-O and 1895-O barber dimes and a 1921 D merc dime. My big one that could have been worth the most was a 1875-H Canadian dime, but it looked in rough shape plus I scratched it. Last I seen it started at around $400 and goes up to $7000.00. The 1875 and the 1905 where found in the same park the first year I detected in 1973 and with in 10 feet of one another.
It is funny how you can remember exactly where you find them and cant remember where you were a few hours ago when you get old.
I sold the 1895 0 to my dad to finance a new detector and sold the 1921 D and the 1894-O 3 years ago after my heart attack to help pay the bill, but still have my 1875 H Canadian dime in my safe.
It is a fun hobby and a adventure you can talk about for years to come.

Anyone who has would be crazy to talk about it .

Why is that? If I found one of those 1916D Wheats or whatever is worth some real money. I would sell it. The rest is worth more just to let the kids look at it. I think the most valuable thing I have found is a Dr Pepper token worth about $50.00, a Spanish American Buckle worth maybe a 100, and a Railroad Commemorative Pocket Knife worth maybe $40.00.

If I found a valuable penny I would sell it in a second to buy more detecting gear! I have hundreds of pennies, the dates don't matter to me!
