High Winds Take A Toll Here In Walker

Wow! 50' pine tree rolled over during the night due to heavy winds. We've had so much rain here in west Michigan that we've also got standing what we in the back yard here. It was likely a combination of heavy winds and high water table that to pals this beauty of creation.

I was in Grand Rapids for a hockey game last night and the wind was really blowing our car around good. Lots of flooded fields also. Glad that tree didn't fall on any of the buildings.

You're Right! Our complex was built in a 'U' pattern and, because of that, the wind hurls around much like a tornado in the back yard. The cause of the pine tree falling over was likely caused by high winds and very high water tables surrounding this property. Originally much of the land the complex was built on, in the 60's, was swamp. We've lost a lot of trees due to a variety of reasons over the last few years.
