High Trash Program

New member
I just bought a used V3I off ebay and it seams to works great, However when trying to search with the high trash program all I'm getting over all targets is a small blip sound, I put a few coins on the ground and it barely picked them up. What could be wrong with this program? I should be hearing a good solid tone for these targets. I am currently using the 10 inch 2d coil. Any help would be appreciated.

Howdy chuckmm--

The previous owner may have made changes to the High Trash program. Try "Restoring" that program to its original settings and see if that solves the problem? Best of luck and...

best thing to do when you buy a used V3i is to do a factory reset. This will restore everything back to factory fresh settings. It is not hard to do and to make sure you do it right, just give White's a call and usually Mary Hudson will step you thru how to do it. It does not take but a minute or two. After doing this all your program will be "fresh" Then you can tweak settings like you want them.

once again, coil size does nothing but help with the depth to the target. You can hunt with a 4x6 and have 10"DD as your coil choice and all it does is affect the depth to target, everything else works as normal.

Does anyone here know how to do the factory reset..

Best to call White's and let them talk you through a reset.
