High Tone

I keep reading about high tone Tesoro metal detectors and have nothing to compare the sound to except my Compadre Fisher Gold Bug Pro.

Is the Compadre low tone or high tone?

I wish someone that has both types would do a Youtube to demonstrate the difference in sound.

Tesoro can do a high tone "adjustment" on either the Cibola or Vaquero, it costs $15.-----James Gifford had them do a "high tone" for me once when I was at the plant, then had me listen to it to see if I liked it.----He said they could change it back if I didn't like it.------I much prefer the high tone over the "standard" (low) tone on those two detectors.-------The Compadre, I've never had one but I think they are standard tone.----Also, I don't think they can do the tone change on a Compadre.---------Del

Thanks for the info.

So........the Cibola and Vaquero are the only two detectors that Tesoro make that have the "high" tone.

No, I'm not saying (that the C & V are the only Tesoros that have high tone).---I was just saying that those two detectors can be "set up" by Tesoro for either high OR low tone.-----Some of the older units may have a higher tone also, I just don't know.----Somebody else could answer that question better than I.-----I do know that the Bandito II umax had a really nice higher tone that I liked.-----Also, the Tejon can be adjusted by the user for a tonal response preference.---------Del

Thanks

Knowing which Tesoros (past and present) have the high tone would be nice to know if you prefer the high tone.

All I know for sure is that I prefer the higher tone of my Gold Bug Pro over the tone of my Compadre.

My two Silver Sabre

Personally hear low tones much better than many high tones due to my hearing and feel get more audio variances out of the low tone....give Tesoro a call for info as many prefer either...and some units can be changed by Tesoro for a slight fee...
