Anyone knows how to mod Vaquero/Cibola to get high tone of the older models?

You have to cross wire a couple of diodes in the audio output driver. There is some discussion of it over at Geotech.
This is some micro work, though - not for the faint of heart.
 
I have a older high autio tone (if that is what you Mean) Bandido Umax. I don't care for the High Autio tone. It seems harder to read. Bill in Texas
