High-tension wires and/or electric fences

These confounded new high-speed trains are making detectering nigh impossible round these parts. And I didn't have much luck at my brother-in-laws farm in the country with a 20,000 volt electric fence running round the place interfering with my finely-tuned machine. Nearly drove me crazy. Almost sent it back for a fixing before I realized it wasn't Tesoro's fault. Still wonder about all the fortune I'm missing. Any cures to these annoying situations?

Can't speak about electric fences, but there's one nice site around my house near a double run of high-tension wires that would make my Bandido IIu motorboat whenever I got within earshot of it. Not much I was able to do despite a lot of fiddling with the Sens dial except turn around and backtrack until it stopped, and that became my boundary line for that site.
Then I got a different detector and I don't have that problem anymore and I'm able to hunt right under those lines if I want <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">
But look on the bright side: How many times have we read posts from guys who beat what they figured to be choice-looking sites to death for hours, turned up nothing, but ended up finding a bit of good stuff a ways away by accident while walking back to their car?
Just keep telling yourself there ain't nuthin' around that fence anyways and you'll feel lots better <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)"> Works for me <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">
