High speed clad killin'

I know, I know, Etracs are for finding nothing but deeply buried old silver, right? Well, today it was for high speed shallow clad killin'. Had a small spot we hit that was covered in shallow clad. Nothing more than 2" deep and my wife was digging targets along with me. This was a grass parking area about 40' wide and 100' long. we got all this in 1 1/2 hours before it got too hot to hunt. Missing from the picture are 29 more pennies and a dime we found in a side pocket that my wife had used after a zipper jammed. Found them after the picture!

So it was:

1 Canadian penny
77 pennies
1 nickel
14 dimes
2 quarters
2 keys
1 toy truck
1 aluminum ring
1 Primetime Amusements token

High speed team digging! 100 targets in 1 1/2 hours. The Ultimate 13 coil was smoking! Imagine a full day of something like this....

That's a lot of digging in an 1 1/2 hours. Were you hunting just shollow coins and ignoring the deeper targets? Did you find any silver at the 2 and 3 inch mark?

It was a small newish park and there were no targets deeper than 2" anywhere. I suspect it was all filled and graded when it was built. I also suspect it's never been hunted since it was built. Silver in this area is a rare find. The first detector dealer opened nearby in 1955! So most publicly available sites have been hard hit.

We were just looking for an easy mornings hunt before the heat kicked in and tried this little spot. Big surprise and lots of digging as fast as we could go!
