Went out on Sunday to local High School for the better part of the day. I got a co-worker hooked on dirt fishing, He has shown some interest lately as after every weekend I come in and show off my finds for the weekend. We met up around 10 am and went straight to after a quick lesson on detecting pinpointing and recovery. It was slow going for him at first he was using my back up machine a BH quick draw. After bout an hour or so in order for him not to get discouraged I let him use my DeLeon his recovery time improved dramaticly. Shortly after trading machine I had one of those iffy signals you just have to dig and out popped an nice womans silver and black hills gold ring. We hunted for bout 3 hours and the mid day heat won. He ended up with little over a buck in clad I had about five. We decided to take a break for a while and try again in the afternoon after our softball practice. We got back at around 6 pm and hunted till 8 pm he did much better found bout the same amout of change in half the time. I did have a first I found a 1965 Canadian centennial silver quarter. I really enjoyed the company as I usually hunt alone. Am looking forward to our next outing.
