New to the explorer,,, is it normal for trash like a chromed artical, flattened alumium can,, rusted U bolt to read high and to the right in smart screen.. exciting but then disappointing...

they are super loud ,plot alittle low,an you know this after 20 or 30,,but they do sound good,I still dig em on a regular basis,What if its a watch?? cs

yup. its normal, just like they read high on the disc of other machines..just gotta get used to the sizing of good targets compared to those big junk ones..although those bigger targets generally read 31 on the digital screen while coins will read lower than 30 in most cases so you can try switching over to difital for a quick check..deep ones are tough to leave though

Frank..I raise my coil and if I still have it 8 inches or so off the ground, figure its a can. Also pinpoint will show size,or overload,I do this all the time an skip em..However in my haste to focus on coin size deeper objects that read like theyshould and sound ritte,,Ohhhhh that must be a license plate at 4 inches,,,,I probably have missed a mason jar cache,,,I still skip em when in a hurry...cs
