High frequency coil question.

Out of the 9" concentric, 10.5 dd, and the 5x10 dd, would one of the three have an advantage at detecting small gold chains and earings? I hunt on fresh water beaches in Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa during the summer. I would like to increase my chances of finding these items by buying one of these coils but really don't know which to choose. Thanks for any help.

The 6 inch DD HF is waterproof and easier to swing in the water. If it's trashy, 6 inch DD HF is unbelievable on separating good from evil. The elliptical DD HF though, covers more beach per swing, OK I can't make up my own mind. Too many excellent coil offerings for the Terras. I almost feel like I want the X50 in one hand with one coil, and the X70 in the other, sporting the other coil. I need an assistant digger!

Did I hear someone mention they need an assistant Digger? :goodnight: If I were to accept that position, would that make me the assistant digger, Digger?

It has all the sensitivity you will need for small gold jewelry and you can cover more ground per sweep than with the 6".

Hey Kurt, I'd be at the side of the truck, holding the tube of silicon sealant. I'd want to make sure you seal up that elliptical coil before you take it for a swim. Remember, it is water resistant. Not waterproof. HH Randy
