High end detector choices

Looking at getting my first high end detector (around $1000). I hunt parks and homesteads mostly with a lot of iron and bottle caps. Looking at either T2 or Minelab Explorer. Give me ideas please as to what you think. I have an AT Pro and love it. Just looking to step up.
Thanks Pastor Bob

Go with a used Explorer SE, with Pro coil.

The T-2 is a neat detector but since you have an AT-Pro I would go with one of the Explorer models.

I agree, the Explorer is my favorite detector. If you do get one you should consider a small coil. My 8x6sef is my go to coil for most of the sites I hunt. Good luck, Joe.

While I hunt with a Safari, I agree with surfman. Cant beat that 6x8 SEF for trashy areas.
