High and low trash

Can people give some examples of why they use what they use and where they use it regarding target separation?
I am getting a good understanding of the differences between high and low trash separation but am wondering where I'd use low trash, other than the obvious. With the chance of a larger target masking it I'd almost be scared. I remember watching some videos by some guy overseas (Norfolk?) and was sad to see how poorly my former machines did with masking lol. I wonder if the low trash setting used with fast on could eliminate any concern?
I was also thinking of when Digger said he hunts old homesteads and disc'ed out small nails. I suppose hypothetically one could even use low trash in a high trash area if you knew the horseshoe would always be a stronger signal than a nail? Sorry for the weird questions but I was just trying to figure out the scenarios I'd use the different separation settings.
I'm worried I will turn into a one mode kind of guy haha. Thanks for helping me learn the awesomeness of this machine.

Hi Bob!

Its kinda hard to give any hard facts on this. Every situation is different. A beach setting is far different that say a park or yard setting. I find the low trash setting only helps me in beach type settings got get a bit more depth.

I agree it seems limited but also nice to have in that particular situation. I'm glad I don't really need a machine for this or a machine for that anymore. The CTX is kind of like having 10 in one really. We need a BigBoys in Canada.

Seriously. I have used gone hunting combined for a year and yanked 182 silver coins. Open screen. Game over.
