After I dug that miniature whiskey bottle just about right off and polished off its contents, (Mudpuppy does) I was ready and raring to go. I only had a couple of hours to swing so stayed pretty close to home. A little clad digging was the plan and did recover 46 coins, not counting the 1925 wheat cent that shouldn't have been there, for $5.54 towards my battery fund. Along the way I did snag 3 rings, 2 junk, and a junk link to something and a junk ear ring with a bent post. The Avon marked 925 ring does pass the silver test. I have found some that wouldn't, but this one does have the weight and since buffing it looks good. Looked hard for the missing stone, but to no avail. I have never found a silver ring that had real diamonds on it, but will test the remaining 2 to be hopefully a first time. Hic! O.K., guess I better sleep it off. HH jim tn

Nice finds Jim What kind of silver tester do you use.I have a got a gold testing kit but hadn't ever seen one for silver. Thanks HH

Who can turn down a free drink? Especially of an early crisp morn when none of the clergy are about to pass judgement on a free man?

Who needs an acid test kit?

I can tell if things are silver or gold simply by handing them over to my Wife...if she gives the item back, it was a fake..nice hunting again, Jimmy me lad..an old Irish blessing to now bestow...."may you get to heaven before the devil knows your dead!"... Cant wait to see your face when ol' St Pete tells you theres no silver!, As stipulated, Heavens streets are paved with gold, and Muds already got the contractor rights on the tear ups!

If all Those ring could have been gold :sadwalk:

My kit is by PuriTEST solutions and has silver and platinum solutions along with the various K solutions. My wife got it for me through Amazon. HH jim tn

Nice haul! Yeah a test kit is a great asset. Learned much since I've had mine.

If mudpuppy can drink it...you can too ..................

My question is..were the sounds more mellow before or after drinking ??? LOL

Nice finds, Jim. Even junk rings are nice to find. Was the case knife just a prop for the ring or did you find it, also?

Nice 3 ringer, Jim! Lay off the sauce, though. :nono:

Mud: Wife Precious Metal Tester....

Elton, after drinking that stuff, everything sounded good so I dug it all. Case knife was a prop, fongu. HH jim tn

The strongest thing I drink is cowboy coffee. If it won't float a horseshoe, it's too weak. Lol....Just kidding, it won't float yet. I'm working on it, tho. I do add a teaspoon of coconut oil for flavor.
