Hi to everyone

Hi
I'm new to detecting and saving up for a X-Terra 70 as they seem to be good all round detectors.
I live in the U.K, up north in Stockport,Cheshire.
Regards
Badgerdog

All of us here on the forum welcome you and know you will enjoy the versatility of the X-Terra 70. Wishing you all the best on your hunts!
Cheers!

Good luck when you get your detector Badgerdog. You'll have a lot of fun with it. A couple of things to keep in mind though. As you are new to the hobby, just remember the read through the instructions fairly well and get a collection of coins, screw caps, pull tabs and crown caps. put them on the ground at home and play around with your detector there. Getting familiar with how things respond to the detector will help you a fair bit when you go out and hunt. It will be a new skill for you, so if you feel frustrated along the way, that is quite normal. Remember, that when this happens, that this is a hobby to be enjoyed, and it's not a marathon race. The more you use it, the more your confidence will grow.
Something else you will notice, is that there is a fair bit of junk in the ground and you will probably dig your fair share of it. We all do. Just because you don't see them in the pictures on the forum, doesn't mean that we are not digging them. Just remember to dig the solid repeatable signals. The X-Terra is pretty good at telling you when you go over junk; the signals are chopped and broken up.
Just remember. If there is something your not sure about, there is plenty of help to you on the forum her. The folks here are fantastic.
If you can join a club, then that will help you even more.
Good luck.
Mick Evans.
