hi there wots the best settings for my minelabe quattro mp for english beaches for gold silver and copper pence:shrug:

hi there im looking for the best settings for my minelab quattro mp for english beaches to find gold silver and copper pence thank you all

Hello, I used mine on the beaches of Denmark. I have had no gold, but a few silver rings and lots of coins (and lots of junk as well:). My settings would be:
Sensitivity manual and as high as the beach permits - I prefered to run it stable. Trash high, ferrous tones and no discrimination - and listen to the tones. You could take out the -10 and 40, but it did not make much difference to me. Before you dig, listen to the tone and watch the TID. If you do not want to miss anything, dig everything above (and including) -3 and any hint of mid/high tone. If you take your time examining each signal before digging, you will get pretty confinent what is down there, but I dig almost all anyway just to be sure. Sweep the coil from different directions and slowly to get as much information as possible.
If you use discrimination, some of the good things might be masked by the trash.

An alternative is to use the conductive audio, then you should dig all middle tones and high tones with positive TID. Both worked equally for me, but with the conductive audio it is easier to hear some of the danish coins (alloy of Cu and Ni) amongst bottle caps.
