Nancy, when you sent your MXT to Whites, did it do better when you got it back? Someone said if they re-tune it it is better than when new. I just thinking about sending mine in, it is about 10 years old. It still dose ok, but it has been banged some but not hard. I try to take care of it. Did you just send the control box and coil ? No need to send the hole thing right. Thanks Dean

Hi Dean, Our detectors are about the same age and mine has been knocked around and well used! We sent the whole unit into Whites. It's been a couple of years but they thoroughly checked out everything and honestly I didn't have any problems except for the earphone jack plug wiggling. I didn't notice any change in it except for the new bolt. If it's that old, it wouldn't hurt to send it in during the winter months to get an exam. Couldn't hurt. Also what's the old saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it". Good luck and HH, Nancy
