Hi if i am out at night i pack a home made blackjack i call it a stick.

I was out this morning and and a police officer stoped me (it was still dark) he said "the beach was closed at this time but as long as as you just detecting that's fine but please be aware of your surroundings". Cool guy. I have a very large scoop and that is my equalizer when I'm alone.

I use a set of headphones called rattlers...Its just one ear piece so i have the other ear free to listen to my surrondings..Its really handy where there are snakes or in the woods..I would imagine Doing Night Hunting ,it would be a good idea also.Im not sure if they make a water proff set,Maybe.I figure my Lesch(if land detecting) is weapon enough if im in the woods or a bad park..I keep it sharp

I have a large metal flashlight in a hip holster that has a built in pepper spray unit.
Even has a red lazer to aim it with.
The light is very high intensity and if that dont put the intruder off the pepper spray will.
It is called a Cobra Stunlight.
