Decided to head back to "Sinker City" beach today to finish up an area from yesterday's hunt.

Took Jacky with me....we both had a great time!

Tide was high again, so I started at the water line and worked up into the dry sand.

Found the usual sinkers, clads, and then a very nice 19 inch .925 Italy necklace.

Necklace was found at water's edge. All else was found in wet slope sand and upper beach dry sand.

Tone of necklace target was not high, and it sounded like maybe foil, so I was surprised when the necklace appeared .

I don't wear much jewelry, but this necklace in its simplicity has class so I'm going to wear it on special occasions.

Here's some pics

Thanks for looking

Mag, I hope its silver but a lot of fakes are out there. Strange it didn't have a high tone. I have seen 14K Italy that had the gold flaking off!! Nice finds though!!

I have found many fakes ...it 's always a good idea to check with acid kit.

walk freely ( he will not run away ...he is fearful of what he cannot see, so he stays close by enjoying a bit more freedom)

Jacky is very smart and has acute hearing; he hears the wave action( of which he is cautious) and so he stays away from the water line. He just likes to walk along the sand near me, and I can keep a peripheral eye on him and still concentrate on listening for targets.

If he strays a bit further that he should, I just call him and he turns around and returns to my side.

When it's time to go back to the car, I hook him up again to my belt and leave the beach.

I don't take him with me every time I hunt...only about once of twice a week...and only when I am hunting dry sand.
