Hi Guys

Hi,

Glad to see the Infinium finally getting its due with its own forum here. The unit took a beating when it was introduced and was slow to catch on but I always believed in the machine. Fantastic bang for the buck, and paid for mine many times over.

Hey Steve ware did you Get the adaptor on your infinium for the GG headphones??

Hi Hunter 18,

Well, let's see, 8 months for me to reply? Too much time between my original post and your question I'm afraid.

I made the adapter by taking the dry land Garrett headphones and cutting the waterproof fitting off. I took my Gray Ghosts and randomly touched wires until I got a signal. Then I wired a 1/4" female jack to the fitting, applied shrink wrap, and now could plug in any headphone I desired.

Garrett later made a short run of adapters and I still have one. Much smaller than my frankenstien adapter. The Australian Garrett distributor also was having some made years ago but I do not know if they are still available. Bottom line is I like my Gray Ghosts and so no matter what needed an adapter. I still think Garrett would be wise to offer one but since the detector comes with headphones perhaps there was little demand. My problem is that headphones tend to die, so I hate to tied to only one set.
