Hi guys / Gals Looking for some input on the Cortes and the Deleon Vs the Whites Dfx, I am a detector junkie these days and this info is for some last minute advise for a friend. I know Minelabs, Whites and have a good feel for Fishers. What I am looking for is info on the Cortes and the Deleon Vs Whites.
1. is it true the Cortes use the same circuitry and the Deleon just gives more info?
2. Does the Deleon have the capability to do the auto ground balance?
3. How does the two pinpoint? Does it have any graphical representation or does it just go by sound?
4. How difficult is it to ground balance the Deleon?
Lastly for users of the both the Whites and the Tesoro how would you compare the two in depth discrimination and quality.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Bws

I have both the DeLeon and the Mxt
Lets just say that the mxt looks good leaning against the wall ! when I leave to go detecting I wave to it when I walk out the door!!! The DeLeon does use cortes circuitry And it is a turn on and go detector!! no ground balance I have used mine in a number of locations up and down the eastern seaboard and I have never had any trouble with falsing or ground mineralization!!! I find that the depth is very acceptable!! In a park situation I have consistantly found coins at depths from just under the surface to 10in. and a few even deeper !!!! I found a spanish 2 reale dated 1782 at 10in on a hillside next to an interstate in albany NY. remember this coin is very thin and it registered 77 on the display!! and 8in depth according to the machine the target id is very accurate I would recommend this machine to anyone that wants the coins and jewlery!! that the whites users missed!!!!!No offense intended to you whites people its just been my experience!! and I will always speak my opinion HH.....To All

because I would put my MXT up against a DeLeon any day of the week.
