Hi Folks; Looking at getting an older model eagle sl II...........

( 89 ) edition... Now if I understood this correctly, the ( 89 ) model was using the motorola chip, where the (90-90.5) models switched to a different chip...

Is this correct, and is the older model the more desirable one to have???

I'm also told the older model ran smoother in trash areas/iron and possibly hunted alittle deeper then the newer models....

Can anyone verify any of this that I was told and add anything else I should be aware of....Does the detector get good depth for hunting coins??

I had one but i can tell ya the xlt is much better.
the xl pro is even better.
