Hi, everyone! .....

I hope it's cooler where you are, as it's very hot and humid again here in MO and the ground is so dry even after all that rain. The winds just sucked out all that moisture and deposited it somewhere else! cry:

Steve, I know it's hot there in Arizona, but I don't think you have the humidity like we do! No more detecting for me for awhile...I cannot take the heat and humidity any more! :)

Gotta finish my shopping today and don't have an air-conditioned car! frown:

God Bless!

Rain didn't get the ground much softer. It did cool down some but now its warming back up. No air conditioning working in our van but is in the house where I'll be staying after I cut the lawn.

I've been detecting in the tree bark they use in playgrounds. Hunting in the heat in grass is most likely a good way to get kicked out - permanently - of parks when the plugs dry up and the grass dies leaving brown spots all over.

I guess the Kalamazoo City Parks is telling detectorists they cannot detect in the parks any more. (New person in charge and a tree hugger who cares more about a blade of grass than people enjoying the parks.)

That might be a sign of the times. Will there ever come a time when there will be no public places to detect? Let's pray that never happens.

My gold fish just came to the top of the water and ask for ice :surprised:   Stay out of the heat and enjoy live :D

No we dont have the humidity - 10 % right now. Temps Will be about 107 today. Keep cool, do things early in the day, Steve

An Any places for anyone to detect! Even many parks here are off limits and even the shores in some areas or states. A lot is due to jealousy by the park rangers, who want the land kept for themselves and then there are those who hit an area, don't fill holes nor careful about cutting plugs, and then don't return, but go on to do the same to another park and etc.!

So, therefore, they cause problems for all by the parks being closed to metal-detecting! Since we pay taxes to keep the parks up, then we should be able to use the parks for our type of recreation! Most of us don't harm the ground any more than squirrels, dogs or moles or children playing!

'Tis jealousy that causes so much trouble...even satan is jealous of Jesus! And the root of all evil is the love of money instead of loving God, Who created everyone and everything!

God Bless!

One breathing med at WalMart (keeping your salary paid, Pete) cost me $142.00 today and was $6.00 higher than I was paying. Also gas up 15 cents a gal from $2.09.9 to $2.24.9 and cost over $6.00 just to fill my gas can so I can mow my lawn. Hope all are surviving the heat way...Tropical Heatwave, but no rain only feels like it with the high humidity! :(

God Bless!
Betty
