Hi bill i am sanding for my new fisher id exl monday will it work in sand and wetsand!

Yes, The Excel will work pretty well in the sand, especially the dry stuff. We have used ours on the beaches with no problems. One thing to keep inmind that was just discussed is that you may have to auto ground balance it in the dry sand and then walk down into the wet stuff. If you try to balance in wet black sand/salt that's alot like balancing on a piece of metal (and you'll hear the dreaded 4 beeps). In bad black sand you may have to turn the sensitivity down a bit if the chatter begins to bother you.......
Good luck,
Bill
