hi all new to the forum

lazyaussie

New member
hi everyone been reading this forum for a while and my wife told me to join up so i can talk mding with some one else and stop disturbing her quiet time ( ha ha) . i"m from Victoria Australia and i run an ace 250 and a few other makes of detectors. i mainly look for older coins in parks. i"v been using the ace for two years and love it found about 80 or so silver coins so far with it and tones of copper coins and thousands of $ in modern coins. hopefully i"ll be able to shear some storeys of finds and maybe help with questions and talk mding. thanks for a great site

Welcome glad to see you on board. I also run a 250 and like. will be waiting to see some of those finds and hear some of those stories from aussie land.

Welcome. Your coins totals should add up quickly.

G'day lazyassie.
You are doing a terrific job on the silver coins. I've only got around 4 or 5 so far, but plenty of $1 and $2 coins. I'll dig most coins and hunt parks mostly as well.
The Ace has been a surprising little detector and has lots of little tricks about it, that seem to come to light, the more you use it.
Welcome to the forum. I look forward to your posts.
Mick Evans.:ausflag:
P.S. Are you in Melbourne?

Greetings LazyAussie! I live about 20 miles from Melbourne.... Florida that is. I want to visit Australia some day before I get too old to have fun. Sounds like you got the touch for MD'ing! Happy Hunting, welcome aboard, keep us posted on your finds, have a great day!

thanks for the replies. yes mick i live in southeast Melbourne gotta love those 1$ 2$ coins the $ add up real fast. finding old coins is getting harder all the time most of the good parks have been done so you have to think outside the square and hit smaller parks and do lots of research.
well its time for work so see ya later

I envy you a bit living and detecting the big smoke.:poke: I used to live in Sydney and get down there 1 week a year to catch up with the family. I always seem to find around $200 each visit. Sure would like to be able to do that more often.
Mick Evans.
