Also, Royal, Sunny, Dave, Fred, John, etc, etc.... .Well Jack, whom I am certain that you remember, came around today and asked me to photograph this for him. He found it down in old Edgewood!!! The absolute best part about this is that he knows this mans widow who still lives in town. He will be offering it to her. :) A class act if ever I saw one. :thumbup:

Are there initals on it?
 
the recipients name, rank, outfit and military number are inscribed around the edge of the medal.. So there is no doubt as to whose this one is. :)

You can lok up the Mans "joining up document" on the internet if he was with a Canadian unit...tells his birthplace, age, previous service and other non-secret type info...also gives the date he joined and sometimes the unit he joined...but thats not the unit he servred with for sure...due to high caualties many later unit were broken up in England as reenforcements to "combat" units.
