Hey Vernon..

My wife and I along with some friends was in the lovely state of Virginia over the weekend. We went on a bike ride to Snowshoe West Virginia for a few days and rode on over to Staunton Virginia. If God made a more beautiful place than the mountains of West Virginia and the Shenandoah valley, he must have kept it. If I could get the wife to sell, I would move in a heart beat!

When I decided to move from Alaska, I had 3 places picked out: northern Arizona, central Virginia, or Vermont. Virginia won out. The Blue Ridge Mountains are 30 miles from me, and I can be in the Shenandoah Valley in about an hour.

Alaska is majestic, awe-inspiring, and I loved living there for 30 years. But I am also enjoying living in Virginia.

I'm still here. I read the board often but seldom post. It seems I have run out of places to detect close to home so I very rarely have any new finds to post, but I still love the hobby. Also have been very busy with the farm, it seems I have become a slave to it. We have been thinking about selling it and getting something smaller and easier to take care of as my wife plans to retire in about two years. After what I saw of the country this weekend, we may try to move to Vernon's neck of the woods. We shall see... Good luck and God bless!
