Hey Vern, don't you own a White's Super 12 Coil? Do you like it? What are the pro's and con's?

Plus it's about the same weight as the stock coil. But if money is tight, I wouldn't run out and get one today. I'd say over-all it has a 12% to maybe15% edge over the stock coil in good ground. I have not tried it really bad ground but would bet a smaller DD would be better in that situation. But I do like mine in large open fields with spread out targets.. it's fast and deep and pinpoints very well for it's size... I give it a

I have been looking at the super 12, the 6x10 dd, and the 4x6 dd. Then there is the line of Excellerator dd coils from 5 inches to 18 inchs. Still doing the research to see what would be best in my area. I hunt mostly suburban parks and older home sites, not many 500 acre tracts with relics in my area.

Thanks for the info.

I really hadn't used it that much but I really liked the depth that it provided. I could find coins at 6 inches fairly frequently and on a 5 inch coil I thought that was pretty good. It stopped working so I took it back to Kellyco where my wife had purchased it for me for Christmas. They pretty much told me "sorry for your luck, out of warranty (12 months) so we can't help you." It really pizzed me off when you see what I've purchased from them over the years. I'd really like to get other excellerator coils but I'm really apprehensive since I was kicked down the stairs over the last one. Oh well, we'll see what happens, maybe I'll find one that someone wants to let go of pretty cheaply.
