A terrific little coil. I pulled a 1900 Indian at 7"s, a 1903 barber dime at 8"s, and a 1943 war nickle at 7.5"s. All of this right out of the iron. Yes, I was using my tape measure too. So this is for you Bill. You know the thing, that was said about the depth only being equal to coil size . Well so much for that B.S. statement. I laughed my A$$ off when I read that one. Maybe that is just in bad ground which I don't have. :rofl; . The barber and war nickle both had Iron spots on the targets. Have to say this little Edge and the 5.75" coil is a hell of a combination in the iron. Was getting 8 to 10"s with the 8" coil on coin targets. Didn't dig any coins any deeper then that with the 8" coil though. Mostly wheat's and 1 Merc. Been only digging the real deep stuff. I have to send my Edge to Los Banos. It has a high Threshold Tone mixed in with the target VCO on pinpoint and on real deep targets you can barley hear the VCO on the target. It don't pinpoint every time you push the pinpoint button either. It also has a small piece of plastic under the face plate. Anyway called Los Banos and talked with my Bud, Jerry and he said it is not working right on the pinpoint which I already knew but I just wanted to tell him that the detector has the life time warranty and I did not want to be charged the $25 that they charge for fixing machines with the life time warranty. Ron did not have another Edge with a lifetime warranty as I got the last one. So I got to send it in. Man Tom, I hate to send it in cause it is getting such great depth with that small coil and is so good in the iron and trash. I told Jerry just fix the Pinpoint problem, get the piece of plastic out from behind the face plate and don't touch anything else as I want the same performance out of it I am sending him. I am really pleased with the machine. If you don't have that little coil yet you might as well go ahead and get it. It is a real winner and you are going to like it. : : . Later bud Jerry aka Tinfoil
