The new AT Pro looks good in the promo adds, the water proof feature is really nice...... If it works. The ground balance feature should help in mineralised ground.........if it is tied in with the motion discrimination channel and all-metal mode. And it looks like the tones are changable, now if you could change that stupid Bell Tone to a tone you could understand instead of that BING-BONG tone. That would be the deal maker or breaker for me. The guinea pigs are getting lathered up for the introduction of this detector, and if you are a Garrett fan, I can understand the excitement. I'm not a big Garrettt fan..........so I can wait. If the AT Pro is all that they say about it, it will be sad news to all the other metal detector manufactureres, because it looks like a truely revolutionary detector at a mid-level price. Only time will tell, but I'm not lathered up yet

No no Randy----ya got that all wrong!-----It's DING DONG-----not BING BONG!!--There is a DISTINCT difference, ya know! 
------Looks like it's a 3 tone--don't know if the high tone is a bell tone or not but if it is that's DEFINITELY a deal breaker for me.---Tried a couple with that bell tone & it about drove me "bannanas".----Looks to be a pretty wide spread in that high tone area--don't think I"m all that crazy abbout that.-----We'll just have to wait & see the reports from the "guinea pigs". -----------Del

If it's a Bing Ding Dong tone, then I'm out of the picture as well. My Ace 250, which I like in all other respects, drives me bonkers
