Hey Rich, Finally pics of my pimped out booty looter

You had asked that I post some pics of my XS2a, had to wait until everything came in for it. Here's the list:

1. Pluggers 3 piece straight shaft. Breaks down so I can easily stow it in my motorcycle saddlebag.
2. WOT coil. For the beach. AWESOME! Backhoe deep and pinpoints well enough to use for coinshooting at a heavily trashed outdoor concert venue I
have exclusive access to.
3. Sunray S1 probe. For the dirt, it's the best. When you have trash in a hole with a good target, it allows you to disc, making sure you get what you dug for.
Not used on the beach.
4. Minelab's 180 meter. It's really shortened the learning curve to learn the tones. Also shows a negative number when over big iron that sometime sounds
like silver. Not used on the beach.
5. Plugger's snap on meter mount and stand. Works, and easily removeable.
6. Killer B headphones.
7. Remote All metal switch. This is by far the best mod for beach work. It allows the box to be protected with a plastic bag for water work, and doesn't wear
out the switch on the box. If/when I wear out the remote switch, just unplug from the installed jack and replace for about 4 bucks. For my local beaches,
this mod is the bomb as all metal hits deeper and launched a larger footprint.. Hunting in all metal then switch to disc over a faint signal has been the
difference in hitting gold or walking over it on several recent occasions.

This setup is by far the best all round unit I've ever used. I can't imagine ever needing another machine, unless I want to hunt deep water. I'm tired of getting beat up in the surf and digging everything with my SandShark, so I'm happy in the dirt, wetsand and shallow surf for the forseeable future.

That is a very nice ride you've put together. Mine is going to be similar with a few differences to save some $ where I can. My big coil will be an S-12 (I picked up a pre-owned but new for a good deal that is on it's way). I went with pluggers two piece rod. I rescaled the stock meter and will be putting a remote mode change toggle switch it.

I am still a couple weeks away but will post some pics when I get done. thanks for posting pics of yours. Very nice.

I was fortunate enough to buy my unit with the jack for the remote switch already installed. If you do your's yourself, let us know how it went. I'd like to be competent to do it so I'll be prepared to mod a new GT when/if the time comes.
