I'm not Pete but it could be that cold to freeze the ice very solid but don't know for sure....I have a feeling we are in for a long, bitter winter this year....But (Hey) I hope I am wrong for Michigan and Missouri, too! Just saw a catterpillar crawling on my Patio and it was dark brown (almost black) if that means anything! Amen!
