My trip to Jensen Beach,Fl is in 2 weeks. The feedback from the resort says its an ok place but has lots of "no-see-ums".I've heard of these but never seen or had to deal with them before. They said I could get room sprayed.Renters said they tried Raid and it didn't work.Any Ideas before We go?Thanks so much !!

Be very careful using any product with DEET in it. There are some documented side effects that are dangerous. Death is one of them. Check it out, do some research. HH Wanderer

for some reason ,graciously dont come in the house,,even with the door open,,yet will eat you 4 ft out on the deck,,,,,the bad thing is time your skin is first catching fire,,they have already done a buncha feasting,,Dont itch too long,,bout 15 minutes..less you are sensitive to them,,,Nothing compared to the yellow flies and some of them other coastal marsh bloodsuckers,,cs (cutter helps tremendously)

I found we both had the same results in reference to reapplying and effectiveness. It seems though that there is no protection for the knuckle area. I guess the squeeters can detect the heat from the close to the surface vains. Ya might want to invest in some gloves like the ones Gravediggermax uses. I know I have started blisters pushing that sand scoop!!! SSS has worked well for me with no-see-ums. ...Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes:beers:
