. . . keeps PULLING in these OLD nickels. Went MDting with some friends yesterday pm in New Orleans after work. Love that MXT Pro for coin hunting. We hunted a very old football complex for a few hours and hit a good spot.....found several old nickels and lots of old wheaties. No silver ?? but I was happy with this 1937 Buffalo. It is in great shape and one of my better buffalo nickels to date. Here is a 1950d that i dug, an old Band Uniform Button and a 1947s I found in my pocket change today. Thanks for looking.. CCH

OH YEAH! Oh how I love seeing those old nickels rescued. That's a nice one CCH. Good going on the wheat cents and the band uniform button also. That MXT PRO is one heck of a coin shooter. Thanks for sharing and most of all, for rescuing that nickel. She's a beauty. HH, Nancy

Nice finds EJ . . .!

This trip was really saved by E.J. and his quick thinking. We hunted an area that looked very promising, but after about 2 hours realized that it wasn't producing anything. E.J. had the great idea to detect some fresh dirt that had been spread. Checked the fresh dirt, came up with nothing. Just feet from that area we started hitting 30's, 40's, and 50's era coins. Funny thing about detecting, with about 25-30 coins found, no silver??? May have been hunted with everything discriminated except for silver. Either way a fun time was had by myself, coin-jumper, and CCH.

I would like one of those machines that only finds silver................ and then a module for gold only.........:clapping:

Sign me up for one of those machines too!

BigKen,
I would think that maybe there just wasn't any silver there. :surrender: We've hunted virgin grounds and only walked away with a few wheat cents, etc. No silver to be found and what a bummer. Keep it up and keep that coil to the soil.

HH,
Nancy

It was a great time hunting with you guys (BigKen & CoinJumper). I'll make sure and send a heads up next time i'm gonna be in the BigEasy.... Go hunt that spot again when they cut the grass. Just too many old wheats and buffalo nicks..... Silver awaits. :wiggle: CCH.
