Hey Monte.......

New member
have you heard from the dynamic duo recently ?
I haven't in quite some time and was wonderin how they are doin and
where they are rippin old silver from the ground these days.

had a phone call from him for several months now. Tom Smith, the last I recall, was still around the Portland, Oregon area, but I lost touch with him as well. When I spoke with Chris last he was still on the search for silver and such down south (west), and had been doing some detecting with Tom of CA.

I've been wonderin why i haven't heard from them anymore. 'specialy Chris.
I'm suprised that if he's still on a silver mission he hasn't been back to the far east here.
I spose i'll hafta give him a call.
After 3 very busy years of workin on our house i finaly got my DFX fixed and i'm back into swingin it.
Maybe we'll give Chris a hollar and head for his neck o' the WARM woods for a spell this winter.

As Monte says, they relocated to CA several years ago, a few hours away from me. By a chance post, on some un-related subject, Monte had made reference to these guys pulling some silver from a particular park here in CA. That led to an introduction. I could tell right away these guys knew their machines, and had some great exploits to talk about. They wanted to "break into" some of the earlier sites and history from this area, so we've had some fun hunts now and then, whenever we can get our schedules together.

They have been here and stayed with us a few times and lemme tell ya,
i took them to some of my hunted spots and they sure suprised me with the amount of DEEP
silver they yanked out o' the dirt.
They sure out swung and out dug me. But then, i jist recently found out that i had a bad coil and i have no clue for how long sooooooooo......
Have they ever shown ya some o' the OLD silver they've pulled from parks in the far east out here ?
They sure are serious about there swingin and both are good people to boot.
In fact, the first they were here, Chris left his extra EX-II with me for a month or so while they traveled further east of me.
I sure miss that thing now. lol
I'm gonna give Chris a hollar and see 'but gittin back togethr with him, maybe we'll end up in yer neck and git to meet ya.
