Hey Monte, can ya recommend a big coil for the IDX or IDX-PRO ?

Not Monte but a Bigfoot on the beach is Great!
 
Hey Jim

They made a Fifteen inch coil called the Blue Max 1500, you can find them used on the classifieds sometimes. You just might get a hernia though, cause they are big and heavy.
 
I once had a 15" White's coil for my Spectrum. It was like trying to detect swinging a satellite dish. Can't do dat no mo.
 
stock 950 coil. That's really too 'big' for most of the sites I hunt because they are usually too trashy and/or brushy and/or there is building rubble.

personally, even though I liked the 4" Snooper coil for the nastiest of sites and kept one on a modified Classic III SL, my #1 favorite coils for the Classic ID, IDX/IDX Pro, XL Pro and XLT has been and remains the 5.3 BulsEye (or one of the other 6
 
I love this IDX-Pro so much that i haven't touched my DFX since i bot it.
This is the 3rd IDX in our arsenal.
I am thinkin o' maybe buyin a used Pro with Mr.Bills mods if i get the opportunity.
